Mouth-blown Christmas baubles

A mouth-blown Christmas bauble is not pressed from a mold but hand-blown into shape by a person. Each one individually, so no two are exactly alike. At Kechballen, we turn them into Christmas baubles of Dutch classics: a fat bike, a frikandelbroodje (sausage roll), a doner roll, a can of beer, and a host of others.

What makes mouth-blown glass special

Machine-made glass comes in thousands of identical pieces from a mold. Mouth-blown glass is blown by a glassblower, making each ornament slightly different. Then, each bauble is hand-painted. This craftsmanship is precisely why a Kechbal feels like a gift and not a mass-produced item.

Dutch designs in three collections

Our designs are grouped into three collections: Pauper Chique with the frikandelbroodje, doner, and budget beer, Wannabe with the fatbike, fake cap, and home worker, and Apotheek with the more subtle winks. Pendants are approximately 9 cm, toppers 28 cm.
